At first glance the one thing you can guarantee a buyer (or anyone for that matter) to notice when looking at your home is your FRONT YARD!  You can take advantage of that crucial moment onlookers have when subconsciously deciding the overall feel of the interior of the home. Yes, you read that right INTERIOR! Here are some ways to make your front yard presentable:

Solar Yard Lights

According to solarlights.com "since the electricity for solar lighting is generated by a system of small solar collectors and storage batteries that are located near the lighting fixture, there is usually no need for electrical installations. That means that solar landscape lights can easily be used in areas in that may have otherwise been too expensive." Its basically a DIY project you can do in your downtime. Here are some examples:

Yard flags

Give your yard a welcoming look by displaying a yard flag embracing the current season. Quick tip: for an even subtle yet noticeable look have your yard flag incorporate the same color scheme as the leaves or the season! This will give a crisp look to the yard... see for yourself:

"Not all heroes wear capes!" This is especially true when we can contribute in the well-being of our planet by planting trees while simultaneously making your front yard presentable to potential buyers and nosy neighbors! 2 birds with 1 stone. If you have a smaller front yard look for a tree that creates a focal point without dominating the yard or placing too much distraction off of the home a good option would be dogwoods or cherry trees. A shade tree would be a great way to block out those harsh sun-rays during summers peak see red maples or pin oaks! Yard Maintenance 

Another main attraction is yard maintenance. A common perception is that the yard tends to reflect the interior maintenance of the home lets use this to our advantage! Here are some simple yet effective ways to maintain your beloved yard.

  • Organic fertilizers- they do much more than feed the plants they tend to boost the soil

  • Irrigation system- over-watering is just as bad as under-watering. invest in a watering system.

  • Mulch- add mulch to protect trees and eliminate the chore of trimming around the tree. Image title
